In 2021, Weight Doctors® treated overweight and obesity minimally invasively at nine locations in Germany – with permanent and time-limited stomach reductions as an aid to sustainable weight loss. In September 2021, Weight Doctors SLEEVE® was added: a permanent stomach reduction without surgery using endoscopic procedures.

With Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, the stomach is gathered from the inside into a kind of gastric sleeve using a worldwide patented thread-and-anchor technique, and its volume is reduced by up to 75%. The procedure is usually outpatient without a clinic stay, requires no incisions and leaves no scars. Patients can return to their daily routine after a short time.

More or less restrictive – depending on your goal

What was new about Weight Doctors SLEEVE® was that it can be applied more or less restrictively – depending on desired weight and weight-loss goal, pre-existing conditions and personal habits. It can thus be tailored entirely to the individual, with the aim of permanently stable results.

Three variants were available. They are coordinated modularly: a more restrictive variant can follow later if needed.

Who Weight Doctors SLEEVE® suits

Weight Doctors SLEEVE® is particularly suitable for people who want to attract as little attention as possible in their work and family life while losing weight and who need to be fit again quickly. It may be an option from a body mass index (BMI) of 27. With a very high BMI, a surgical gastric sleeve is a further option.
