Changing your diet – but with a clear head

Your daily drinking and eating habits are responsible for up to 80% of whether your body weight is within a healthy range – more than exercise or training. The challenge is to find the right balance: enjoying your life while also paying attention to a healthy diet.

This is where nutrition coaching comes in: you bring the will to lose weight – we show you how to go about it properly and stay motivated. We record your progress and, as things go on, adapt the measures ever more closely to your physical condition and your individual health circumstances.

What matters in a supported change of diet is that you can reach an experienced and competent nutrition adviser at any time. This lets you check how to eat healthily in the long term. What makes it special: alongside the personal consultation, our nutrition coaching places a focus on the Weight Doctors® App, which accompanies your everyday life. The effort for you is small, and we stay in touch 365 days a year.

Who is nutrition coaching suitable for?

A comprehensive nutritional analysis and consultation must take your health, physical and nutritional-science circumstances into account in the therapy. The interplay of our nutrition specialists and the app makes this possible – and covers many areas of application, from overweight to intolerances.

The link to our treatments is particularly close: before and after a gastric balloon, an endoscopic stomach reduction with Weight Doctors SLEEVE® or weight-loss surgery with Weight Doctors BARIATRICS®, and alongside GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy. On medical matters, our coaches work closely with the specialists in internal medicine. The coaching is suitable:

Why should I eat more healthily?

Eating habits and food influence well-being. A balanced diet affects both mental and physical well-being. A healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the risk of developing heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes.

What makes Weight Doctors® nutrition coaching special?

You receive support not only in personal conversation but also digitally via the Weight Doctors® App. This means we are available at any time and can accompany you in all situations in life.

How many sessions make sense?

We recommend at least 5 sessions. In between, the app supports you, so that the coaching does not end at the appointments.

How long does a session last?

At least 30 minutes. Between sessions you stay in regular contact with us via the app.

Does the coaching take place on site?

However suits you: in person, by telephone or by video. Documentation runs via the smartphone app in every case.

Who will advise me?

Our nutrition scientists. They advise you on the basis of current scientific recommendations and also help you with using the app.

What does nutrition coaching cost?

Can I also ask questions between appointments?

Yes. Via the app’s chat function you can reach our nutrition professionals between personal consultations as well – on holiday, while shopping or at home.

What will I learn in the coaching?

Alongside your personal plan, you receive background knowledge on nutrients, food labels and the psychology of eating – skills that stay with you and from which your family can benefit too.

Does the coaching also help with intolerances or pre-existing conditions?

Yes. We also offer nutrition coaching for food allergies and intolerances, for rheumatism and gout, and for cardiovascular disease. Your individual health circumstances feed into the consultation.

How do I stay motivated?

You bring the will – we show you how to go about it properly. We record your progress, celebrate successes together with you and, as things go on, adapt the measures ever more closely.

How do I achieve good results with nutrition coaching?

The right path depends on your starting situation. In our experience, many patients with obesity benefit from a combination of nutrition coaching and a gastric balloon treatment or the pose® procedure; the more intensive the contact with our nutrition professionals, the more you can benefit from the therapies. The coaching is also a building block of Weight Doctors® 360°, the support programme for every Weight Doctors® treatment.
