Before an operation covered by German health insurance, the guidelines require a structured preparation programme – the multimodal programme (MMK). Over around six months, it prepares you medically, nutritionally and psychologically for the procedure and documents your progress. We organise all appointments for you in Dortmund. Important to know: the MMK and the private medical pre- and post-treatment examinations are self-pay services – during preparation, the health insurer only covers the medical briefing.
