In 2023, Weight Doctors® presented a system that supports you similarly on the way to your desired weight: smart scales and app, in which artificial intelligence is used in a targeted way to support weight loss. Developed from the experience of many thousands of treatments at the Weight Doctors® locations, the system can look ahead to a degree: the AI assesses early on whether patients are on the right track or need additional advice.

Measuring and seeing at a glance

The holistic weight management of Weight Doctors® relies digitally on two building blocks: a Bluetooth scale determines weight and body composition, and the Weight Doctors® App synchronises the data and shows all developments at a glance.

Scientific studies on food and exercise diaries show that even such precise documentation can help to develop a more conscious and healthier lifestyle.

Data that improve the consultation

In addition, the data are transmitted to Weight Doctors®. This makes treatment more straightforward, more individual and more flexible. The software, developed and tested together with doctors, links all data, diagnoses and conversation notes in the practice. In this way, patient advisers and coaches can start in a targeted way at any time, without first having to take a time-consuming medical history.

Early warning for patients and practitioners

The central advantage of the system is the predictive software, developed on the basis of extensive experience and comprehensive data from the Weight Doctors® locations. “The app uses the experience we have gathered in supporting thousands of patients with weight loss,” the team says.

As soon as the AI detects anomalies – for example if weight falls too fast, too slowly or not at all –, the Weight Doctors® team is informed. The practitioners can get in touch promptly and give the right impetus by one-to-one video telemedicine or secure text message.

Never alone at any point

A procedure such as a stomach reduction or GLP-⁠1 therapy often raises many questions about new everyday life. Here too the Weight Doctors® App helps: through the around-the-clock connection with the treating team, patients are not alone at any point on their journey.

Data protection and training

The system accompanies the path to your desired weight around the clock and reliably. The sensitive health data are protected by modern IT standards: according to the 2023 information, the system meets the requirements of the European GDPR and the data protection laws of more than 40 other countries and is certified to DIN ISO 27001, the international standard for information security.

For practitioners at the Weight Doctors® locations in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and South Africa, the system offers the assurance of keeping every medical factor in view. They too are not left alone in this: the practices receive training and ongoing support in order to make the best possible use of the system.
