Since May 2023, Weight Doctors® have also offered their treatments in the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart. After Heidelberg, Weight Doctors® have thus also come to the Swabian metropolis with their gentle methods of minimally invasive obesity therapy – more central, closer to home and easier to reach for everyone interested. The aim remains the same: losing weight with low risk, gently, permanently and as individually as possible.
At Immenhofer Straße 21 in 70180 Stuttgart, Weight Doctors® treat their patients as outpatients and inpatients, in a comfortable and discreet atmosphere. At the start, the treatment team was led by Prof. Dr. med. Karl Miller, specialist in general and visceral surgery.
The team of nutrition experts, dietetic assistants and obesity specialists continues the care intensively after the stomach reduction or the placement of a gastric balloon, too.
Care is supported by the Weight Doctors® App, which is paired with a Bluetooth scale. This makes it possible to follow weight-loss progress as conveniently as exercise and sleep.
In addition, the app offers a guide on all the important topics around the course of healing, the right medication, nutrition and exercise, as well as answers on building mental strength. Patients can set their own daily goals and so come step by step closer to their weight-loss goal every day. In Stuttgart, Weight Doctors® offer a gentle, permanent stomach reduction without surgery with the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®. In this outpatient, minimally invasive procedure, the stomach is shaped during a stomach examination – without an incision and without scars – so that it takes on the shape of a gastric sleeve. Its volume falls so far that only a fraction of the previous amount of food has room.
This can significantly reduce the feeling of hunger and prolong the feeling of fullness – and permanently so. The stomach is reduced by up to 75% in the process. Results vary from person to person.
Not yet ready for a permanent stomach reduction? Then a gastric balloon can be an effective head start into your new, lighter life. It reduces the stomach’s capacity for 4 to 12 months and so brings about a quicker feeling of fullness.
In Stuttgart, too, Weight Doctors® offer various gastric balloons – from the swallowable Allurion gastric balloon to balloons that are placed endoscopically through the mouth and stay in the stomach for 6 to 12 months.
Also new to the range at the time was GLP-1 therapy, which regulates the blood sugar level and can ease cravings – entirely without a procedure and without anaesthesia. More on this under Weight Doctors® GLP-1.
