Weight Doctors® Hamburg has moved to a private clinic in the centre of Hamburg for its procedures. Your consultations will continue to take place at Rothenbaumchaussee 20.

A new home for treatments
Larger, more modern, right in the middle of things: in May 2026, Weight Doctors® Hamburg moved its treatments to a private clinic in the heart of the city, right on the Fleet. Consultations continue to take place at the usual location on Rothenbaumchaussee.
A location is never just an address – it is part of the treatment. Anyone who wants to lose weight is not looking for a sterile functional building, but for a place where modern medicine and humanity come together. We have found that place in Hamburg.
What remains is what defines us: caring advice, a clear path and a team of specialists – two of whom will welcome you in Hamburg.

The consultation stays where it was
Important for all existing and future patients: you will continue to be advised at our usual Hamburg address, Rothenbaumchaussee 20, 20148 Hamburg – in person, by telephone or by video.
This separation is deliberate. On Rothenbaumchaussee you will find a calm setting for the first conversation – without a clinical backdrop, without pressure. The procedures then take place in the clinic, in a modern medical environment. Both in Hamburg.

Does the move make treatment more expensive?
No. Our prices have not changed with the move – it is the environment that has improved. All current prices are listed in the service overview.
Where do the treatments in Hamburg take place?
Endoscopic and surgical procedures have taken place since May 2026 in a private clinic in the centre of Hamburg, right on the Fleet. Which treatment is suitable for you in Hamburg and which at the Weight Doctors® Nationalklinik in Wertheim, we discuss with you in the consultation.
Does German statutory health insurance cover the costs?
Weight-loss surgery or Weight Doctors SLEEVE® has a chance of cost coverage by your German health insurer where there is a medical indication in line with the guidelines – as a rule from a BMI of 40, or from 35 with related conditions. There is no advance application: before the operation we check all the requirements, and billing takes place directly after the operation. Statutory health insurers currently do not pay for GLP-1 therapy. More under Health insurance and cost coverage.
Can I finance the treatment?
Yes. Through our financing partner medipay, payment in instalments is possible, subject to a corresponding credit rating. This also makes the path as a self-paying patient plannable.
Is the consultation really no obligation?
Yes, completely. We advise you on all paths – GLP-1, gastric balloon, Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, Weight Doctors BARIATRICS® and RESHAPE – and recommend what suits your situation, not what sells best. Only when you decide on a path do we move forward.
