The Weight Doctors® offer a broad range – from the temporary gastric balloon and the Weight Doctors SLEEVE® to bariatric procedures such as gastric sleeve or gastric bypass. In a consultation with no obligation, we find out together which method suits your goals and your personal situation.

Weight loss varies from person to person and depends on your starting point, your commitment and the treatment chosen. With the gastric balloon, up to 30 kg may be possible, with the Weight Doctors SLEEVE® or a bariatric procedure often more. Results vary from person to person.

Aftercare is a central part of every Weight Doctors® treatment: with the 360° Coach, the Weight Doctors® App and Weight Doctors® Mira, plus regular check-up appointments, nutrition counselling and the 3D Bodyscan. Read more under Weight Doctors® 360°.

For bariatric procedures (gastric sleeve, gastric bypass) and for the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, there is a chance of cost coverage where there is a medical indication in line with the guidelines – as a rule from a BMI above 40, or from 35 with recognised related conditions. There is no advance application: we organise the appointments and check all requirements for the German health insurer before the operation; billing is done directly after the operation. The multimodal programme (MMK) is a prerequisite for cost coverage by the German statutory health insurer, but is not itself covered by insurance. It comprises five pillars: nutrition counselling, an exercise log, psychological evaluation, gastroscopy and a comprehensive blood test. The Weight Doctors® organise the 6-month programme for you.

The gastric balloon is a temporary solution for 6–12 months and is inserted without an operation. The Weight Doctors SLEEVE® (with pose® 3.0 Double Helix or OverStitch NXT™) is a permanent stomach reduction – likewise without a conventional operation, but endoscopically. Yes, financing through medipay is possible, with terms of up to 72 months. Our patient advisers will inform you about all the options; more under Payment in instalments.

The Weight Doctors® are represented at 23 locations in 6 countries, in Germany including Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Munich and Nuremberg. You have a dedicated contact person and are supported by our interdisciplinary team. This includes the Weight Doctors® App with a digital scale, Weight Doctors® Mira (around the clock, in 7 languages), regular 3D Bodyscans to monitor progress and, if you wish, a personal 360° Coach for nutrition, exercise and motivation.
